This study is coordinated and performed by Orest Szczurko as part of his Masters of Science thesis work at the University of Toronto. Dr. Orest received his H.B.Sc. from the University of Waterloo in Ontario. After working as a research coordinator for the Glaucoma Research and Education Group in San Francisco, he completed the Naturopathic Doctor program at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM). Dr. Orest’s research focuses on conducting randomized clinical trials of naturopathic and complementary medicines. As a clinical trial coordinator at CCNM Dr. Orest designed and performed 4 randomized clinical trials examining naturopathic medicine in a work setting: Canada Post. As part of his graduate studies at University of Toronto’s Faculty of Pharmacy, Dr. Orest is examining the role of natural health products in the treatment of vitiligo. He also continues to practice naturopathic family medicine at his Noumena Naturopathic Health clinic in central Mississauga.
